Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026 · Governing law: Ontario, Canada
This Cookie Policy explains how cinematechs.ca and Whistle use cookies and similar technologies.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage. They can be "essential" (needed for the site to work) or "optional" (e.g. analytics).
2. How we use them
We keep cookie use to a minimum. We use essential storage to remember your cookie choice and to keep you signed in to the Whistle app. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Analytics
Our website analytics use Plausible, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or collect personal data. That means our marketing pages generally set no analytics cookies at all.
4. Essential cookies
ct_consent— remembers your cookie banner choice so we don't ask again.- Authentication cookies (in the Whistle app only) — keep you securely signed in. Set by our auth provider, Clerk.
5. Third parties
Some embedded tools (e.g. Calendly for booking, Stripe for payments) may set their own cookies when you use them, governed by their policies.
6. Managing cookies
You can change your choice anytime using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the app.
