Data Deletion
Last updated: 5 July 2026 · Governing law: Ontario, Canada
You can delete your data from Whistle at any time. This page explains how, in line with Meta, Google, and TikTok platform requirements.
1. Overview
Whistle stores your account details, the content you create, and access tokens for any platforms you connect. You control all of it and can remove it in the ways below.
2. Delete it yourself
In the Whistle app you can disconnect any integration and delete your account from settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data and revokes stored platform tokens.
3. Request deletion
Prefer we handle it? Email privacy@cinematechs.ca from the address on your account (or that you used for the waitlist) with the subject "Delete my data". We will verify the request and confirm when it's done.
4. Disconnecting a platform
When you disconnect Instagram, Facebook, Google, or TikTok, we revoke and delete the stored access token and the platform data pulled for that integration.
5. Meta / Instagram data deletion
To remove data associated with your Facebook/Instagram connection you can: (a) remove the Whistle app from your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, or (b) email privacy@cinematechs.ca with subject "Delete my data". Either way we delete the associated tokens and platform data. This is our data-deletion instructions URL for Meta App Review purposes.
6. What gets deleted
- Your account profile and login identity.
- Content, drafts, and scheduling history you created in Whistle.
- Access tokens and any platform data retained for audits/reporting.
- Your waitlist entry, on request.
We may retain minimal records where the law requires (e.g. tax/accounting), and residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
7. Timing
We action deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We'll email you to confirm.
